2026 “Extra” Line Item Funding

The following is a comprehensive list of discretionary spending including incremental appropriations by the legislature. These “extra” line items were presented by the Governor in February and then adjusted without a public or competitive bid process by the legislature.

The Fiscal 2026 data has been recently updated to include $118,250,000 in supplemental appropriations approved by the State Legislature through the passage of Assembly Bill #6319. The bill was then signed into law by Governor Murphy on January 20, 2026 just prior to him leaving office. The aforementioned funds are to support nearly 20 projects, most of which were not previously funded in the Fiscal 2026 Appropriations Act. Nearly all of the funding will be passed through to third parties in the form of State Aid and Grants-In-Aid.
